Racing

Racing is the core of our platform, and we strive to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants. Every registered racer will be assigned to a heat race and qualify for either Main A or Main B. No one will be left out of the racing action.

  • Registration closes 15 minutes before the race start time.
  • Participants are assigned to races and hosts, with notifications sent accordingly.
  • Participants should be online at least 15 minutes before to ensure they see their names in a heat race or main event. You can go to the Round page and click on each race to see who is assigned to each. This will allow you to know who your host is and contact them on XBOX if they have not contacted you and invited you to a lobby already.
  • Race hosts manage race start times and communicate with participants.
  • If there are 16 or less racers, there will only be an A Main.
  • If there are 17-32 racers, there will be 2 heats and an A Main and a B Main.
  • After each race, hosts submit results for verification.
  • Results are promptly reviewed by tournament organizers.
  • Main races are scheduled and initiated based on results.
  • Tournament points and standings are updated in real-time.
  • Heats will consist of 8 laps.
  • Mains will consist of 15 laps.
  • Races will always be run on MAX Deformation.
  • In AMA SX and MX tournaments, the time of day will be set based on the time of the corresponding race in real life. We will not be setting the condition to rain.

Qualifying from a Heat into the A Main

The number of racers that qualify from the heats to the A Main is based on the number of racers that race in the heats, not the number of racers registered for the tournament.

  • 16 or less racers race heats:
    • All racers will go to the A Main.
  • 17-18 Racers Compete in 2 Heats:
    • Top 5 from each heat will go to the A Main.
  • 19-22 Racers Compete in 2 Heats:
    • Top 6 from each heat will go to the A Main.
  • 23-26 Racers Compete in 2 Heats:
    • Top 7 from each heat will go to the A Main.
  • 27-32 Racers Compete in 2 Heats:
    • Top 8 from each heat will go to the A Main.

Points System

Points are awarded based on finishing position on a 35-point scale. All 32 racers receive points.

  • 1st place = 35 points
  • 2nd place = 32 points
  • 3rd place = 30 points
  • 4th place = 29 points
  • 5th place = 28 points
  • ...and so on until 32nd place = 1 point
  • Winner in B Main will be considered the next place in points after the last position in the A Main.

Tie Breakers

In the event of a tie in points, the following tie breaking rules apply.

  • 1st tie breaker is the racer with the most wins.
  • 2nd tie breaker if there is still a tie is the racer with the most recent win.
  • 3rd tie breaker if there are no wins, then the racer with the most 2nd place finishes.
  • 4th tie breaker if there is still a tie is the racer with the most recent 2nd place finish.
  • And so on.
